“Make a Statement”.

1. My Targer audience is people in communities who believe in the unfair punishment police show towards people.

2. I want people to know that I personally know about the unnecesary treatment police give out. I also want then to know that this is jsut food for thought I'm not sure if there is anything we can do because some polive abuse their power and make it seem as though we are powerless.

3. This topis intriged me because I have had police hit my cousins when there was no reason. i find it unfair that someone with such power for good finds it necessary to use it for bad. It disapoints me that this is what it has come to brutally beating on people just because they can. it enrages me.

4. I believe i could have done better with my picture because it doesn't show all the emotion I have towards this topic. I think it only shows little of what I feel. I could have done better.

5. http://www.uniform.name/pics/30020_big.jpg - this is for the cop uniform

i cant seem to find the link for the prisoner uniform.

Human Rights Issue: Neighborhood Violence
Neighborhood violence is a problem in almost all inner city/ urban areas. The homicide count is well over 70 so far this year... Which speaks for itself. Gang violence in particular is a big issue because it amplifies the volume of violence in communities because of rivalries. This image is targeted to anyone who lives in the city and is a teenager. They're usually victims to things such as gang affiliation and neighborhood violence.
I want people to know that there is almost no reasonable explanation for being in a gang. Some of this country's most notorious gangs reside in California in places such as Compton and LA. Most of these teenagers that join a gang are looking for protection but have no idea what the origin of the gang is and what exactly they're fighting for besides assaulting, or killing someone who's wearing a color not affiliated with their gang.
This topic is important to me because I want the younger generation of gang members to realize that when they do join gangs (such as crips or bloods) they're putting their life in risk even while in the comfort of their own homes, simply because they wear a different flag color. Most of these teens are of the same race and most likely reside within the same area or neighborhood. There is nothing wrong with uniting with the ones you care for and protecting them when they need it, but these gang members are senselessly killing eachother because of what color they rep.
I don't know if I will be very successful in convincing someone in a gang that it's not worth it, but if common sense can't convince someone that a color isn't worth fighting for then I don't know what good this will do. I hope they can at least comprehend the statement I'm trying to make and realize that there are other ways to remain safe without resulting to violence. This image was originally a photo of the Compton Crips, I edited it to be Bloods and Crips in the same photo by changing the color of their flags so it looks like they're together. The reason for this is to show that they are ultimately the same people fighting eachother based on a color solely.

  1. My target audience is pointed to the whole world but mainly our government and the president because instead of our troops being in Iraq fighting over oil they can be doing something benefiting their needs.
  2. I want my audience to take action and go help. I want my audience to see how much pain these people are going through and help out.
  3. My topic is so important to me because the world promised that this would never happen again in 1945 now 2006 and the epidemic has once again happened
  4. I believe I was successful in getting my message across the picture is like a comparison of the two how they both are similar and how in both the people being targeted are fleeing from their homes

4) Do you think you were successful in getting your point across? Why or why not?

Depending on peoples opinions I think I did get my point across because there are a lot of people and families that go throughout this type of situation every day.

1. I think this photo has everything you need to know about war and how its bad.

2. I truly agree with the artists opinion because i think that war is a horrible way to change our governmemt.

3. The message is clear because you can clearly see how war can destroy many things around it. War is just like a virus. Anything it attacks can be killed instantly.

The target audience for this picture is mostly boys That are between the ages of 14-21 in the Dorchester, Mattapan and Roxbury areas. I dont know much about other town in Boston but I know that in these areas there is alot of gun violence going on and I know that its been greatly effecting youth particularly the boys in these neighborhoods.
My reason for creating this image is to let people know that thousands are people are dying due to gun violence. I want my audience to realize that not only are there popele dying but that they can do something about. That they can make a diffrence by not feeding into the sterotypes and to stop killing eachother. And that by stoping the violence they can save alot of people.
The topic of gun violence is extremely important to me becasue it effects me too. I worry that even though my older brother isnt associated with any gang related people that one day he could die due to gun violence. This topic is also important to me because I have a little brother and I'm worried about his safty becasue of the way teen boys today are freely taking eachothers lives.
I think that creating this picture I successfully got my point across. I believe that I accomplished exactly what I wanted to. By puting the words in the grass I made it easy to see the thousands of people that die each year because of gun violence and I think that all of the tombstones will grab the attention of the audience.
I got the picture above from inauspicious.org

1) The target audience is every american who opposes the war in iraq.

2) I want the audience to help bring home our safely to there familys and friends.

3) The reason why the topic is so important to me is because a was never a person who agreed that we should have went into iraq so now i think that its time to bring home the troops.

4) I think that I was successful in getting my point across because the picture shows the troops coming off the plane with a calender that symbolizes that we ave been in iraq for to long.

This manipulated photo is a picture of violence in our communities that leads on to murals scenes and open caskets that shows what’s going on in the world when it comes to murdering other people over nothing important. My target audience is the crowd in the world today "the people around you and the gang bangers that never sleep." The action that I want the target audience to take in or consume is that if you look around yourself you'll see children, which makes children the future and they take in anything that they see in the streets today from language to violence, which means that it's an never cycle in the world today. This topic is important to my because if I look around me my whole is based on the that’s going on in my life because it's a day to day going, but never let it stop me from me being myself in life. Yes, but then again no because I get my point across to people all around but not that much people are going to just avoid the "words are stronger than actions" and that my opinion about this, so far.

Child Abuse

Who is your target audience? (global, Americans, neighborhood community, TBA community, etc.)
My target audience for this project is the global and the community.

What do you want your audience to do (action) or know?
I want the global to know that these are young childerns life being taking away and there so young that they don't diserve to abused in so many ways that even sometimes they are dying. Also i want the people out there who know's it wrong to abuse a child to aomething to help them.

Why is this topic important to you?
This topic is so important to me because i have little brothers and i would hate it if anyone abused them. infact the picture that is shown above is my little brother so i want to show that i care and that i wouldn't want any ones little brothers to get hurt.

Do you think you were successful in getting your point across? Why or why not?
Yes i think that i had a successful point across because i showed the audience that i care because i have little brothers and also that these are kids that are being abuse and killed, there innocent they wouldn't hurt a fly so why would you hurt them.

My targeted audience is younger childrren of our age. I chose to target this audience so the kids would make the wrong decision hanging out on the streets. I chose to use this as a message towards the children to help them choose the right path early so they won' t mess up, but only create nothing but a go path ahead of them. I chose this message to let them know that their are consequences to the decisions that they make. Also I would like to let the kids know that it's a hard world out there and if they make the wring choices they can end up in places that they don't want to be.

I would want my audience to stay off the street and find something productive to do. I chose this picture because i want my audience to know the consequences of their actions if they were to mess up and do something that they will regret. What I want my audience to do is stay out of jail and stay in school to do better later on in life. This picture basically tells my audience that I want them to stay out of the court house and being sentence years in prison. Also I want my audience to not be a victim of the court by making the wrong choices when you wasn't supposed too.

I think this is an important topic because to many kids now a days are going to jail for making the wrong choices. Also teens who commit crimes are being charged as adults. I think this is very important subject because the state is also spending to much money on jail houses and not enough on school supply. I believe that my subject is important because kids need to be set on the right path to success instead of resulting to violence. I think that it is important to keep kids out of jail because they are our future and need to lead sucess full lives instead of hurting and stealing from others.

I think that I am sucessful in getting my point across because it shows the consequences of the wrongs choices. It helps the kids realize what would happen to them if they were to go down the wrong path. I am sucessful in getting my point across because it shows people how young kids can be convicted of a crime. I think that i am sucessful in getting my point because it helps people choose the path to take. I think that I got my point across because it shows people how young kids are starting to get locked up in jail.

My target audience is the neighborhood community and the gangs. I am trying to target them so the violence in the street would stop and there could be peace. I the neighbor hood gangs to no that violence isn’t the answer to all their problems. They don’t have to fight and kill to get a point across. There is all ways another way to get back at somebody for doing you wrong and violence isn’t it.
This topic is important to anybody that lives or have family in bad areas were there is gangs. Each time I watch or hear the news there is always a report that some little girl or boy was gun down in a cross fire between to gang members. So many mothers lost there innocent children to gang violence in there neighborhood. In this picture I think I am successful in getting my point across. In this picture I have a bunch of people with guns and their eyes are cut out.
Their eyes are cut out because of the saying an eye for eye will make the world blind. Which means that if some one hits you have a choice if you want to hit them or not. The fire in the back is the destruction of the world if this happens and the dove represents peace. My words and my pictures are perfect for to represent my point.

My target audience is the world. This topic affects everyone in the world because many children are fighting wars that don’t belong to them.I want my audience to help the children in need. People should also be aware of how millions of children are loosing their dreams and dying. This topic is important because I came from a country where children don’t have many opportunities. Ideally by making this image I’m helping my audience understand this issue because more people will know about this crisis. I feel I succeed in getting my point across because when looking at my image people can see and understand what I’m trying to say and that is that children deserve to dream and not fight someone else’s war.

"Make my own Statement"

The target audience for my psa is mainly everybody.More importantly, everybody who can read, see, and for everybody who thinks all police are saints. The picture highlights evidence of abuse for those who do not believe that police brutality occurs. The target is also mainly for those who have been abused or mistreated by police, they now know that there is someone voicing their opinion.

I want my audience to face the picture. I want them to stop and think about what it means. I want police to see it, and change their ways if they are corrupt. I want them to know that police brutality is wrong. I also want viewers to think that what is happening is just wrong and that somehow it should be stopped.

This topic is important to me because it often affects my people and community. I just would never want it to happen to me. So, I see it as important to express the problem so a solution can be found.

I think I was succesful in getting my point across. I displayed common usage of a police automobile and let viewers see another side of what police may have them think. To protect and to serve is their purpose. However, I planned to illustrate that's not all they do. The url of my picture is www.realpictures.com and www.policephoto.net.

2. Who is your target audience? (Global, Americans, neighborhood community, TBA community, etc.) The target audience is the whole world.

3. What do you want your audience to do (action) or know? I want them to reach out and help people in Africa.

4. Why is this topic important to you? Its import because I am from Africa and some of those people needs help.

5. Do you think you were successful in getting your point across? Why or why not? Yes it does get the point across because I showed it to people in and they got the point.

1.) My target audience was to all of the teens in the neighborhood that we live in. A lot of people are dying in the streets of Boston. About three days ago there were three shootings across the street from my house in one day. I don't even think that the shootings were far apart, they sounded like each of them were seven minutes apart.
2.) I want everyone to take action by trying to spread the word that violence is not the way. Usually the people that die are my age or even younger. I want everyone to worry about doing something constructive with there time. Because you already know I'm worried about "caking it". I also wqant everyone to know that if we work together or wasn't worried about claiming a "set", and worried more about their responsibilities.
3.) This topic is important to me , because personally I don't want to be a victim of a homicide. My life is a little bit too precious for all of this violence. One of my cousins have been shot more than five times, on more than one occasion. I have also lost two of my cousins to gang violence, and I don't want to lose another. I'm also really not trying to have my younger siblings be apart of a homicide neither.
4.) To tell you the truth, I really don't think that I'm going to get my point across because, teens these days are hard-headed. Although, I think that my image would convince some people to think about their actions. In my image, I blended three images together. One police car, one ambulance truck, and a wall full of pins of the vicims of homicide. I did this because my aunt runs this program called the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute. This is what is there, and I wanted to show people that there are already people working on making the world a better place.

my target audience is every one in the world because im trying to show that people that are poor are being left out and in sum cases forgotten and they feel like they have been removed from the world.

B.What do you want your audience to do (action) or know?
i want the people to know that poor people are out there and they do need help before they are left out or removed from the world.

C.Why is this topic important to you?
my topic is important to me because all over the world there are poor people dieing because they are left there and forgotten and eventually will die

D.Do you think you were successful in getting your point across? Why or why not?
i do believe i got my point across because i made the old man into black and white so it could show that he was being removed from the rest of the world.

Who is your target audience? (global, Americans, neighborhood community, TBA community, etc.)
The target audience of my PSA is the global community. I am targeting the global community because we all need to get involved and solve this issue. I targeted the global community because not only one person can solve this issue but will take the efforts of billions of people.

What do you want your audience to do (action) or know? The first thing I want the global community to do is stop spending $19 Billions on something that is going nowhere. Instead I want the global community to rethink this whole thing over and come up with a better plan that would really work. The next thing I want the global community to know is that poverty is really an issue and that millions of people around the world are being affected by it.

Why is this topic important to you?
This topic is really important to me because where I come from poverty is destroying my country. Where I am from poverty has been the cause of many civil wars and the deaths of many people. I think if we eliminated poverty then there would be no reason for there to be any more fighting going on and millions of people will be saved.

Do you think you were successful in getting your point across? Why or why not? I think I was very scessful in getting my point across because I showed that we are spending alot of money each year into an issue that is going nowhere.

The target audience are the people who lives in the United States and deals with immigration and who ever is against or for immirgation. I think that everybody who understands the deal with immirgation should really pay attenetion to the facts of immigration and how it is effecting our society.

I want my target audience to know that I think that immigrants should get jobs but not the good paying jobs that an actual American citizen should get. I think that kids who can understand things that happen in today's society should know what immigration is about.

This toipc is important to me because immigration is a huge issue in our society. I chose immigration as a topic because I feel that the President, Congressman and many more people who are against immigration are trying to kick out the immigrats. I think that if immigrats are here and they aren't living a positive life then they need to get kicked out.

I think that I was successful in getting my point across. I think that I was successful in getting my pont across because I feel that since immigration is a big issue here in the United States that then maybe people would pay attention, think about how they feel about immigartion, and then they would decide wether or not they are for immigration.

a. My target audience are Americans who don't have free healthcare insurance.

b. I want my audience to know that not all of us are getting free healthcare, and we need to find ways to obtain it, being it protesting, or complaining to our state representatives.

c. This topic is important to me becuase the thought of me getting injured and then having to pay thousands of dollars for the bill upsets me because I believe that as a US citizen, the country should take care of my expensive health costs. I'm not rich, you know.

d. I think I was successful in getting my point across because asking "Free country, free healthcare?" causes people to think "if this is a free country, shouldn't we be getting free healthcare?" and if they don't have free healthcare, then they know it's an issue, and that they need to react. My image is the picture of a health insurance card depicted with the united states with a question mark on top. It also has "US Citizen" as the cardholder's name. I did this because it makes people think that all US citizens should have health care insurance, which is my statement.

1) My target audience is anyone who has abused or has been abuse. Whether it was in a relationship or by their parents. If you have been abused before it will leave you with emotional and mental scares. The audience also doesn't have to be the victims, it can also be the attacker because if anything, need to wake up and see that putting people down only causes more drama than intended.
2) What we can do to help these people is help them get out of their troubled relationship. Even if they weren't getting abuse physically, you can still be abused mentally by being put down by the other person. And if it's a family member then they need a reality check because beating your child only means you failed to get the point across to your child that they are not supposed to do something wrong when they know they are only going to get caught.
3) This topic is important becasue abusers come in all shapes and sizes. Skin color doesn't matter and neither does age. Just because you see a certain group of people on t.v get abused doesn't mean it is only that certain age or color of people getting abused. No one person is immune to this problem.
4) I think I was able to get my point across because as you can see in the pictures above their are people of all ages and colors that were victimized. Just because you are not the victim it also doesn't make you the better person because that person you are abusing another human being just like you. I also think I got the point across because the slogan at the top is pretty straight forward.
