The title of the class media that matters seminar: transforming-moving images and moving forward means that we are going to be focusing on transforming media and changing media into something that we're intersted in. media that matters means that we are going to be focusing on types of media that matter to us as students. lastly moving forward means thbat we are going to be activtly moving foward w/ our learning of what media is and how it's used all around us.
The type of media that i brought in today was a Teen Vouge magazine. In the magazine i shared an advertisement for a Dooney & Burke bag. It was obvious that the purpose of the advertisement was to convince people buy the bag. But who was the advertisement for? It was for teen girls. I came to this conclusion becasue the advertisement was in the TEEN vouge mag and because the person in the magazine that was holding the bag was in her teens. Thus shows that the message was directed toward a younger crowd.
